Swazi Cultural Village Tour | 1/2 Day

In one of the most beautiful valleys in all of the Swazi Kingdom is nestled the Mantenga Cultural Village. Flanked by forested gorges and a majestic waterfall the Swazi Cultural village, stories of Swazi Culture, staged live traditional dancing and picnic beside the beautiful Lusushwana River.

Mantenga Cultural Village is a fantastic Eswatini Culture experience and gives the visitor a holistic and traditional look at Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), its people, beliefs, way of life and history. The village is set in the beautiful Mantenga Nature Reserve, which is part of the Ezulwini Valley (Valley of Heaven). The Cultural Village comprises three distinct experiences: the first is the traditional Swazi Village, which is a recreation of the original style of Swazi house building. A friendly Swazi guide will show you around the village and explain how the structures are built and how the layouts of a Swazi homestead are determined. You’ll have a chance to look around and ask questions; the second experience is the Swazi Traditional Dancing, which is a major highlight of Eswatini. the dance show is a high-energy performance full of life and lots of singing. You may well be invited to join in the dance at the end so make sure you have your dancing shoes on! the third experience of the half-day tour is visiting the majestic Mantenga Waterfall. If you wish to bring a picnic and relax by the waterfall, please do so. Please let us know if you plan to do this and want us to arrange it for you. The tour duration is 2.5 to 4 hours (if you wish to picnic). This is a great, well-rounded tour with lots of variety and a great opportunity to learn about Eswatini and its cultural heritage.
