All Out Africa employs a network of over 40 field and office staff in more than 4 countries. Together we work as a team, to ensure the success of the project, as well as the enjoyment and fulfillment of the volunteer.

The Team listed below highlight some of the core areas of this network but do not in any way account for all the others who work so hard to make the success of our projects possible.

Kim Roques
Founder & Director

Kim Roques

Kim is the Founder and Director of All Out Africa. He grew up in rural Eswatini and attained his MSc in Conservation & Ecology. Before starting All Out Africa in 2004 he spent 7 years working on various conservation and community development programs in Eswatini. Kim’s professional interest is in developing sustainable entreprenurial solutions for conservation and community development in Africa. His personal interests include his family, sport, wildlife, travel and people.

Roland Thorne

Roland is our Director of Tours and Expeditions, based in our Tours Department office in Malkerns, Eswatini. Rols is an environmental tourism practitioner from Eswatini with interests in responsible travel, tours and expeditions, community development, conservation, program management and entrepreneurial development.

Tiphiwe Vilakati

Tiphiwe holds a Diploma In Call Centre Management and Interpersonal and currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Business Management at Mananga Centre. She has just joined the All Out Africa Team and is excited to understand and appreciate the culture of different people from different countries.
Simise Masilela
Social Projects & Marketing Manager

Simise Masilela

Simise Masilela is a dedicated community development leader who oversees our Eswatini social programs and marketing. He works closely with volunteers and communities to ensure projects and placements are meaningful, well organized, and impactful. Known for his calm leadership and creativity, Simise brings compassion and purpose to his work. When he is not at the office, he enjoys immersing himself in art.

Benjamin Hotchner

Benjamin is passionate about building connections between cultures and people in order to create a more international world. After spending his formative years in Uganda and Tanzania, and attending university at the College of William and Mary in the US, He is currently doing a Master’s degree in Human Rights in La Plata, Argentina. Aside from that, he enjoys running, chess, backpacking, and languages.

Eunice works for All Out Africa as the NCP (Neighbourhood Care Point) Coordinator in Ezulwini, Eswatini and provides invaluable support as well as lots of laughs with her outgoing personality in the office and out in the field with the volunteers.

Michael Mkhonta
Building and Sports Development Coordinator

Michael Mkhonta

Michael is originally from Mbabane, Eswatini and works in Eswatini as the Building Coordinator. He has 15 years of building experience in the private sector. He enjoys working with volunteers because after guiding a team in local building methods, they work passionately to finish the project. Michael also serves as the Siswati teacher for interested volunteers and backpackers. He has been with All Out Africa since 2009.

Bandile Dlamini also known as Mzo from Lobamba in Eswatini. I am passionate about sports and through my developing years, I have been fortunated enough to be introduced to different sports activities. I joined All Out Africa as a local sports development volunteer and late in October 2022, I officially became part of the team as a Sports Development assistant coordinator. The best thing about my job is meeting new volunteers from all over the world and working together to change a child’s life.

Xolile works for All Out Africa as the head office cleaner in Ezulwini, Eswatini and provides invaluable support as well as lots of laughs with her bubbly personality in the office. She‘s recently picked up the nickname "Dorothy", but no matter what we’re calling her, she’s our ray of sunshine with the best giggle to match.

Lindokuhle Motsa

Lindo is our Tours Operations Manager — a role she grew into after successfully completing a seven-month internship with us. She holds an Associate Degree in Tourism from Limkokwing University in Eswatini and has a natural passion for the travel industry.

She leads our operations with precision, reliability, and a rare ability to make complex logistics look effortless. Lindo oversees day-to-day operations, works closely with consultants and guides, and ensures every itinerary runs smoothly from planning through execution. Known for her calm focus and exceptional organisational skills, she is the backbone of our service delivery and a valued leader within the team.

Ngeti is an experienced and intuitive travel consultant who specialises in crafting tailored itineraries and managing bookings from enquiry to confirmation. She brings a warm, detail-oriented approach to each guest journey, ensuring every trip reflects individual needs and expectations. With her sharp eye for logistics and friendly professionalism, Tengetile is a trusted point of contact for clients and partners alike.

Sebentile Silindza

Sebe supports our travel sales team with enthusiasm and care, assisting with enquiries, preparing quotes, and helping tailor trips that align with each traveller’s interests. She is dedicated, organised, and known for her positive attitude — always ready to ensure clients receive timely, helpful communication throughout the booking process. 
She is also our contact point for all the NCPs we work with.

Phayo is responsible for the maintenance and compliance of our vehicle fleet. He conducts regular inspections, ensuring every vehicle meets All Out Africa’s safety standards as well as local regulatory requirements. With his methodical approach and deep technical knowledge, Phayo plays a key role in keeping our guests moving safely and comfortably across the region.

Bongani Motsa

Bob is our most experienced and respected tour leader — widely known for guiding complex itineraries with confidence, warmth, and exceptional care. As All Out Africa’s lead Tour Guide, he brings deep expertise in wildlife guiding, cultural interpretation, backpacker-style travel, and community-focused tourism. Bob has a calm, relaxed nature that immediately puts guests at ease.

Beyond guiding, Bob mentors other tour leaders with patience and professionalism, helping to raise the standard of the entire team.

His combination of experience, generosity, and genuine passion for people makes him a guest favourite — the kind of leader who transforms a journey into a lifelong memory.

Matt oversees our Kruger base in Komatipoort, ensuring seamless operations and memorable guest experiences. He manages logistics, staffing, and the overall execution of our Kruger tours, keeping quality high and service consistent. Known for his leadership, problem-solving, and commitment to guest satisfaction, Matt is central to delivering the All Out Africa standard in one of the world’s most iconic parks.

Imuchene leads guests through the wonders of Kruger National Park with expertise, enthusiasm, and a deep respect for wildlife. She works closely with the Kruger Operations Manager to ensure smooth tour execution, while providing safe, informative, and engaging safari experiences. Guests appreciate her knowledge, calm nature, and passion for the bush.

Sizwe ensures that every stay at our camp feels smooth, safe, and genuinely welcoming. As Camp Coordinator, he oversees daily camp operations, keeps all facilities running to standard, and makes sure each tent, meal, and moment is ready for our guests’ arrival.

With his warm personality and attentive approach, Sizwe creates an inviting atmosphere that instantly makes visitors feel at home. He also manages camp inventory and supports the wider team to maintain an organised, comfortable, and enjoyable camp environment.

Mduduzi Ngwenya

Mdu as we all know him is All Out Africa’s local Assistant Savannah Conservation Coordinator and he has been out at the Mbuluzi Game Reserve where our research centre is based, since almost the beginning of it all! He is our tracker extraordinaire and conducted vast amounts trapping research on small rodents, birds and bats, collating invaluable data for the centre.

My name is Simelane Phumlile from Nhlangano. I am currently working for the Savannah Research Center as an assistant coordinator. My interests are in ecology, wildlife and conservation. I hold a degree In Science (Biology and Chemistry), and a Master’s degree in Ecology and Conservation.

Aphiwe studied hospitality and tourism at the College of Cape Town. She began her internship at Hout Bay Backpackers in 2021 and has been with us ever since! She assists in reception and works as a housekeeper, keeping the lodge beautifully clean. She is always friendly and around to help our guests.

Jennifer Keeping
Marine Research Director

Jennifer Keeping

Jennifer has been working with the All Out Africa Marine Research Centre since 2017 when she started her Master’s project concerning the stingray species of Mozambique. Jen has since become a SCUBA diving instructor, published in several scientific journals and is onto her PhD research with the University of Glasgow. Jen oversees the running of all the marine projects for All Out Africa whilst spearheading her own stingray-based research. Jen loves to demonstrate all the various research techniques used in all the projects and give lively, engaging presentations about all the incredible wildlife Mozambique has to offer. Although nowadays it is rare to see Jen out of the water, she also loves to run and used to compete in Ironman triathlon and ultra marathons.

Jule Buschmann

Jule holds a Master’s degree in Marine Science & Climate Change from the University of Gibraltar. She initially started her career in the financial sector but was drawn to marine research and conservation by her passion for scuba diving and manta rays. Jule joined the All Out Africa team as the Marine Research Coordinator in Tofo, Mozambique in 2024 and is excited to educate volunteers about the ocean and its inhabitants while conducting valuable research on various marine species and ecosystems.
