This is the story of Mbuli Nkosinathi, our most recent intern, as he ends one chapter with us and opens another in pursuing his dreams:
I am Mbuli Nkosinathi; I’m 25 years old and currently a student of the University of Swaziland studying BSc in Consumer Science. For eight weeks I’ve been interning with All Out Africa on the community projects that they spearhead. I have been helping in establishing backyard gardens at the Neighbourhood Care Points that All Out Africa fosters as well as striving towards achieving food security in Swaziland and also nutrition security. It has been a great experience to be with All Out Africa and I’ve truly learned a lot. They are really working their hearts out for people.
Interacting with different people was the most amazing thing; working with different nationalities is so much fun and the staff is so amazing in receiving people and they treat people very well. The children at the NCPs are wonderful to be around as well as the teachers. Working through the project of green habits garden, building a future in order to achieve food and nutrition security and eradicate malnutrition was a lovely thing. I never knew All Out Africa has such great initiatives but being there and working with them made me realise the great work they do in communities and also for nature and wildlife.
I am done with my internship but I had a great experience and great time especially on the project I was doing for my whole eight weeks with them. How I wish all organizations would truly work for the people as they do especially in communities in seeing a future sustainable Africa.
